3M™ Speedglas™ G5-01 Heavy-Duty Welding Helmet with Adflo™ PAPR – G5TW
The 3M™ Speedglas™ G5-01 Heavy-Duty Welding Helmet with 3M™ Adflo™ PAPR Assembly and G5TW auto-darkening filter is designed for professional welders who require high-efficiency particulate respiratory protection combined with welding, eye and face protection in demanding work environments.
The G5-01 features a slim, compact design and a large curved protective visor that provides a wide field of view for welding, grinding and related applications. Adjustable airflow allows the user to direct airflow toward the face, visor or an intermediate position for increased comfort.

G5TW Auto-Darkening Filter
The G5TW auto-darkening filter is designed for professional welding applications and provides a 71 mm × 108 mm viewing area.
The G5TW filter also includes Grind mode, rectangular arc sensors and Tap to Grind functionality. These features were introduced as part of 3M's upgrade from the previous G5-01TW filter to the G5TW filter.
Heavy-Duty Welding Helmet
The 3M™ Speedglas™ G5-01 features a large, clear curved protective visor measuring 104 mm × 170 mm, providing wide viewing angles upward, downward and peripherally.
Its slim profile is designed to make the helmet easier to use in tight welding spaces while providing integrated welding, eye and face protection.
Adflo PAPR Respiratory Protection
The included 3M™ Adflo™ PAPR Assembly provides high-efficiency particulate respiratory protection for welders when used with the appropriate filters and components.
The airflow can be directed toward the user's face, visor or an intermediate position to help improve comfort during extended use.
With the appropriate 3M™ Adflo™ filter or cartridge, the system can also provide protection against certain gases and vapours. Additional cartridges are not included unless specifically stated.
The standard helmet assembly has an Assigned Protection Factor (APF) of 25, with up to 1000 APF available when used with the appropriate optional kit, according to 3M.
